Developed by expert faculty and industry partners, NextInnovator is one of Michigan Engineering’s annual NextProf workshops. Together, we are leading a nationwide effort to strengthen and diversify the next generation of academic and professional leaders.
NextInnovator is an in-person event open to all Michigan Engineering graduate students and postdocs curious about pursuing career pathways in:
- Industry
- National laboratories
- Entrepreneurship
- Public policy
Participants will hear personal insights from U-M faculty and alumni, learn about diverse career paths, and strengthen their professional network.
Registration Closed
The deadline to register has passed. Those selected will be notified in mid-to-late April.
Eligibility
The NextInnovator workshop is open to current Michigan Engineering PhD students (all years) and postdocs.
What to Expect
We bring together a diverse cohort of participants to hear real stories from industry experts and informally network with peers and mentors.
Speakers include faculty, research professors, and alumni from Michigan Engineering and other organizations.
Note: The Nextprof Engineering Workshop is exclusive to University of Michigan applicants: PhD engineering students (all years) and postdocs.
